Modern medicine is very efficient at alleviating the symptoms of disease. But in order to address the underlying reason for dysfunction, we need to address the foundations of health. NTA Nutritional Therapists aim to reconnect people with their bodies, empowering them with the knowledge they need to aid recovery or prevent disease.
A Nutritional Therapy PractitionerTM (NTP) is a paraprofessional certified by the Nutritional Therapy Association, Inc.® trained to evaluate a client's nutritional needs, support normal function, and identify nutritional deficiencies.
NTA Nutritonal Therapy Practitioners perform functional evaluations through the use of reflex points and basic non-invasive tests that tap into the body's innate intelligence, enabling them to identify what the body needs.
Our students are taught these skills during workshops held throughout the course year. It's a great chance to create a network of colleagues to support you throughout your career as an NTP and learn techniques that will change the way you view the human body!

"I was utterly blown away by both the dedication and vast knowledge of the instructors, and the engagement and quality of the students."
Lauren Geertsen, NTP. Author of "Quit PMT", "Quit Acne" and "Indulge and Heal" | www.empoweredsustenance.com
"When I first signed up for the NTP™ program, it was a gamble. I didn't know anyone who'd done it, I didn't know if it would pay off, and I certainly didn't know how we'd come up with the tuition. It was a HUGE leap of faith – and it paid off thousands of times over. My husband and I laugh that we ever questioned the investment!
The Nutritional Therapy Association is, in my opinion, the gold standard of holistic nutrition programs."
Liz Wolfe, NTP. Author of "Eat the Yolks" and "The Purely Primal Skincare Guide". | www.realfoodliz.com
"As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I guide people towards better health by using a holistic and foundational approach to nutrition. I believe that a properly prepared, nutrient-dense diet full of whole, nourishing foods can help restore health and vitality."
Mickey Trescott, NTP, Author of "The Autoimmune Paleo Cookbook", the world's first guide and recipe book for the Autoimmune Protocol. | www.autoimmune-paleo.com
"The Nutritional Therapy Association teaches sound, foundational, principle-based nutritional coursework in addition to functionally-based techniques that can be used to assess nutritional status and progress on an individual basis."

"...the NTP Certification is becoming well-known and respected in the healing community across the United States and even the world. I was hired to be the nutritionist in a cutting-edge integrative medical clinic soon after graduating from the NTP program, and my NTP Certification carried a lot of weight with the doctor who hired me."
Doug Walsh, NTP, Olympia, Washington
"I enrolled in the NTA's training program because of the solid training, grounded in real food and the pioneering work of some of the world's greatest healers. The integration of knowledge with the practical skills of working with clients has shaped me into a confident and competent professional. It's not unusual for naturopathic doctors, acupuncturists and chiropractors to ask for my advice and opinion. One of my best surprises, though, was a registered dietician who came to me for a nutritional consultation to help support her fertility, acknowledging that her training simply hadn't equipped her to deal with this issue herself."
Sara Russell, NTP, Your Probiotic Kitchen | www.yourprobiotickitchen.com
"Though I have always been a student of health, NTA has given me enormous confidence to be the teacher of health and wellness I have always wanted to be. I now have NTP training to enrich what I do. I love that distinction!"
Tosca Reno, NTP, New York Times Best Selling Author, Creator of the Eat Clean Diet | www.toscareno.com
"My extensive family history of auto-immune disease started me on a journey to discover what I was intuitively starting to understand – that how we choose to nourish ourselves is the basis of our well being.
I began my journey as student of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and although I learned a great deal about myself, the value of health coaching and a wide array of popular dietary theories, for which I will always be grateful, I found I needed a deeper understanding about the functional power of nutrition on our health. It was when I found the NTA that everything changed, not just for me, but for my family and my clients. I discovered the underlying, multi-layered workings of our health and why FOOD MEANS EVERYTHING."
Leanne Scott, NTP/Integrative Health Coach | www.purecorenourishment.com.au
"The Nutritional Therapy Association has one of the soundest, most thorough, and most accessible nutrition training programs I've seen. I've gone through several nutrition certifications, and this is by far the one I recommend the most."
Margaret Floyd, NTP, NTC, CGP, CHFS, Author of "Eat Naked" | www.eatnakednow.com
